Over the last 10 years we have delivered CPD training in most educational regions throughout Scotland. From 2002, we have worked with Arts Play Highland to deliver CPD for early years staff. In 2006 we delivered CPD to all auxillary and learning support staff in Highland region. In 2010 - 13 we have worked extensively in Edinburgh and Fife and delivered CPD for teachers, after school club staff and early years practitioners. Our sessions include giving ideas for simple rhythm activities in the classroom and for small groups. Activities included body percussion, boomwhacking, simple percussion games and ideas on using African Drums to engage and motivate children in their learning.
We have worked with many staff groups over the years and offer a unique package to schools that are wanting something a little different on their next In-Service day.
Our staff workshops are designed to build confidence in teachers and provide them with the necessary tools to use drumming and rhythm activities in their classroom. Drumming is a great way to motivate and inspire children, and can be used to broaden their education not only in music, but in other areas such as maths, literacy and health and well being.
Coupled with this, our staff workshops are a great way to bring the staff together in an activity that will build your team and leave everyone feeling inspired and connected in a new way.
Workshops can be tailored to fit in with the schedule of your In-Service day, and can last anything from an hour to full day. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
