TPAS National Conference 2016
Drumfun's energy and enthusiasm kick started 2016's TPAS Scotland's conference in St Andrews. 300 plus delegates got straight into the swing as Drumfun stamped out infectious rhythms transforming delegates into participants! Smiling faces of tenants, staff and governing body members from as far apart as Orkney and Selkirk was the aim, and Drumfun certainly hit the mark!

The 2016 Rehabilitation International World Congress brought together 1,000 disabled people, practitioners and academics from around the world, to break down the barriers facing disabled and disadvantaged people. We asked Drumfun to close the 3-day event with a mass drumming session, solidifying the ties that had developed between the people of 67 nations and countless different life experiences and abilities. The dynamic, fun-packed show achieved just that, with people taking away a lasting memory of their commitment to inclusion around the world. A first class production.

On behalf of the Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau, I would like to say a BIG thank you for providing and co-ordinating the fun activity for our 14th Bureau Network Evening at The Landmark Hotel last night. From the number of comments we received last night, our bureau partners found the evening both beneficial and extremely enjoyable. It was so lovely to see the transformation from our slightly reluctant guests in the initial warm-up sessions to their enthusiastic and amazing musical performance - who knew we had such gifted musicians and maestros amongst our bureau partners?!

As a team building and learning exercise this was one of the best experiences of my working life. I have attended and organised many management training events but this was a deceptively simple way of making people aware of the strengths of a team and the benefits of team working. It was suitable for all ages and abilities. Steve Sharpe has a very engaging way of delivering learning and getting people to become engaged. His rhythm musical egg passing game was a master class in under stated learning delivered with great humour!

Many thanks Steve for your session yesterday. After you left I reflected with some of the team on your contribution. You have a remarkable skill and aptitude with people that is rarely seen in business - to quickly develop the rapport that you did, with a group of people that had been on the go for ca. 12 hours, is something to be extremely proud of. Your knowledge and experience of the African culture provided some valuable and relevant reference to the team. I have great memories of the after dinner session, with the 'up for it' die-hards and would happily do it all over again - for longer!
